Debut runner-up January 27 in a race identical to the one that last year's Kentucky Derby winner Mage won for the same trainer and similar owners. Like his sire Arrogate, getting a late jump on his career, but that Hall of Fame inductee wound up winning the 3YO title in despite missing the Triple Crown.
