In the fourth and fifth rounds, Veron outworked Tucker through a pair of close rounds. In the sixth round, Veron hurt Tucker in the final minute with a right uppercut on the chin in a close round up until that. In the seventh round, Tucker came back well, having Veron holding on at the bell.
