I think I will give it a whirl next month.. I like having a clue before sitting down lol thanks again. There is usually a separate 3 card poker bet on the table as well. This bet pays on ANY pair or better dealt to you the 3 cards the dealer gives you. It's generally a good bet. If I want to place a bet for a dealer as a tip, they usually want it on the 3 card bet, so you know it's got the better odds of winning.
As well, you can't touch the chips once they are down. What you need to do, is motion to the dealer that you want to take one back. Generally waving over the cards tells the dealer to "let it ride" when you have good cards. Ask the dealer for help they're usually very friendly and helpful and maybe watch a hand or two before you play to catch the signals.
Often if you ask a player before you join the game, they will show you their cards and explain what they are doing. I agree that Let It Ride is a friendly game. It is a bit slow for me Everyone is just trying to make a hand of a pair of 10's or better. With blackjack for instance, people can complain that you "stole" their hit card, should not have hit With Let It Ride, your hands are dealt and there is nothing that you can do to affect anyone elses hands, so everyone sort of "cheers" for each other.
I also think that since it is a slower game, that the money lasts longer than in blackjack. Just be sure to pull the first of your three bets if you don't have a pair of 10's or better.
