Gragson apparently was not happy that he ended up hitting the wall late in the race while battling three-wide with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Chastain was in the middle lane, got loose and drifted up the track. Chastain never made contact with Gragson but the situation resulted in Gragson hitting the outside wall.
After the race, Gragson confronted Chastain on pit road. The two talked briefly before Gragson grabbed Chastain and pushed him several times before Chastain struck Gragson in the face. Sawyer said NASCAR officials — those that officiate the race — are instructed not to get involved with driver confrontations.

After a brief animated conversation, Gibbs shoved Mayer and started to walk away. Mayer followed and the two exchanged shoves. Gibbs missed with a left hook. We led the whole thing and got drove in the fence, which is understandable — everybody is racing hard at the end of the day.
Congrats to the 19 team and Brandon for the win. We had a great car. I was frustrated. We were kind of shoved a little bit and I turned away. Hopefully, I learn from it. Before the meeting inside the NASCAR hauler, Mayer chalked it up to short track racing and ground rules Gibbs has established over the course of the season.
