Thomas had been with the organization for four years while Leno had just wrapped his third campaign in Washington. Both will turn 33 this year.
What picks did the Saints trade for the Commanders? 11 overall pick to the Saints. The Washington Commanders made the first trade of the night in the 2022 NFL draft, trading the No. 11 overall pick to the New Orleans Saints.
General manager Adam Peters admitted he needed to find a new quarterback for the Commanders at the NFL Scouting Combine, though that may have been more of a slip of the tongue than intended comment, and trading Sam Howell to clear the way for that player is just one of numerous moves made in the first week of free agency. With 15 external contracts signed or agreed to and three internal free agents returning to Washington , Peters has been busy remodeling the organization, but he isn't done yet.
In order to get a clear vision of where Peters needs to continue shaping the roster, we decided to take a look at what a potential man roster would look like in the team's current state. Bank Stadium. Of course, the Commanders still have more free agency deals and the draft, so this definitely won't be the man roster at the end of training camp, but the roster is beginning to take shape.
