Knicks are a good bet in series vs. Miles McBride. Klay Thompson has had some monster games in his brief stint off the bench. He has put up games of 35, 26 and Tonight he had 16 point while the Warriors stretched their streak to when the other Splash Brother comes off the bench. After going up by 14 to start the game, the Warriors kept the lead at double digits for most of the game.

He has taken advantage of the trust Steve Kerr has showed in him and the Warriors have added another dimension since he broke on the the national scene a couple months ago.

With each passing game, Klay Thompson is looking more and more comfortable in his role off the bench. He may not love the idea of missing the first few minutes, the Warriors are with Brandon Podziemski getting the nod over the four time champion.

Meanwhile, Steph was plenty comfortable in the paint grabbing seven 1st quarter rebounds. The Warriors had 14 points before the Knicks even got on the board. NY missed their first nine field goals and that allowed Jonathan Kuminga to stretch the lead early on. The Golden State Warriors started the night in New York as one of the hottest teams in the league, and they ended the night as one of the hottest teams in the league.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors to their 12 win in the last 15 games in a win from Madison Square Garden. Steph Curry loves going to the Garden, and when he drilled the opening three of the game you knew he was feeling it. He started the game with three triples in the first two and a half minutes of the game, and jumped the Warriors out to an early double digit lead.

Paul hits a couple FTs and that's going to bring an end to a wire to wire win for the Warriors in New York. Curry answers back with a three ball in the corner. That's his 7th made triple. Green finds Podziemski slashing to the rim, and he throws it up on a wild reverse after hearing the whistle. It rolls around the rim and falls. FT is no good.

Moody with the block on one end finds Kuminga on the break and he races for the lay up AND 1!!. Blues stats McBride scoops the errant pass from Thompson off and streaks to the rack for a lay up. McBride with the three ball from the wing over Paul and we have a 10 point game. Paul with the pull up from the mid range and that will force a timeout from NY with to go in the 4th.

Thompson with another huge three ball. He may not start games but he still knows how to finish them. Thompson out of the timeout and he drills the three ball to put the Warriors back up by 9 and calm the storm. Brunson drills the three ball in the corner and the Warriors need a timeout with to go in the 3rd quarter.

We have a six point game from New York. Green going into the brunt of traffic laying it up and in and chirping for a foul on his way down the court. Curry launches it from the sideline and he hits the three with the clock winding down. Kuminga drags the rebound down and baseball passes it to Curry for a pull up three!

That's 22 for Curry. After a slow start, the Knicks made a comeback bid. Hart had a couple threes, DiVincenzo made some big plays and McBride brought some energy off the bench. Kuminga has been huge all year, and is thriving in the Garden tonight. For as good as the Warriors offense came out, their defense was better.

Curry drills three threes in the first few minutes of the first quarter as the Warriors jumped out to a double digit lead right out of the gate. Steph loves a trip to the Garden and he made sure to get his night off on the right foot with a three ball to start the game.

DiVincenzo was fouled by Green with 0. He hits two of three FTs. Kuminga with the deflection and he is rewarded with a slam after the lay off from Podziemski. Curry silences the crowd with a three ball from the left wing. He's got 17 on the night, four triples. DiVincenzo on the break off the McBride steal and he euro steps his way for a lay up. Kuminga finger rolls it with the shot clock winding down after getting his first attempt blocked.

Curry with a floater down the lane and gets fould by McBride. Knicks stats last night FT is good. He's got 14 on the night. Burson goes into the body of Draymond and gets the lay up to go off the glass. McBride slashing to the cup in transition and he hits the lay up after some contact that wasn't called. Jackson-Davis was left wide open down low and Saric hit him for the easy lay up.

Jackson-Davis with the extra pass to Paul in the corner and he answers back with a three. Sims with the tip in and gets fouled by Looney. FT is good and that will bring us to the end of the first quarter. Curry had a red hot start, hitting three triple and scoring 11 points in the 1st quarter. NY missed their first 9 FGs and trailed to start the game.

Hart got going late in the quarter hitting two threes and ending the quarter with 8. Paul with a three ball for his first points of the game in his second game back from a long injury. Hart from downtown, this time from the Corner. He's got 7 straight points for NY. Hart drills a three ball from the top of the key off the kick out from Burks.

Sims is fouled by Looney and he will be at the FT line after the timeout with to go in the 1st quarter. GS running the break and Green laid it off for Moody who pump faked, got fouled by Brunson and hit the short shot underneath. Brunson gets into the lane and hits the off balance floater for the second FG of the night for the Knicks.

Thompson off the bench and he missed his first three but hit his second after a Curry offensive board. The Knicks have missed their first 9 shots and have turned the ball over twice. Kuminga with a huge block on one end and Curry drills his third three of the game. Curry watched Hart fly past him and drills the three ball from the wing again. He's got two early ones.

Curry loves being in the Garden and h gets the night started with a three ball from the wing. There you have it. Jalen Brunson is in the starting five for Coach Tibs. Julius Randle is still out with a shoulder injury and will have to put an end to this bad run with out their star big man. It's not news anymore. Klay Thompson is starting tonight on the bench as Brandon Podziemski takes the stage in the starting five for another game.

Andrew Wiggins is out so tonight for personal reasons and that means Moses Moody fills in for the swing man. Jalen Brunson missed the Knicks last game against the Pelicans and was questionable tonight with a neck injury. Although the Knicks haven't said anything official all indications point to the All-Star point guard playing i n a huge game against the Warriors tonight.

Taking a look at the NBA standings we see these two teams in the playoff picture, but in very different positions in their respective conferences. The Knicks are in 4th place, They are currently 1. While that sounds good, looking down the standings you see that they are just two games above the Magic in 8th place, and if they drop that far they would have to get through the Play-In Tournament.

Speaking of the Play-In, the Warriors are currently sitting in 10th which is the final spot in the end of year tournament. They would like to avoid the Play-In, but in order to do that they are going to have to make a run up the standings to 7th place which is currently occupied by Dallas who is three games above them.

One of the stories not just of the Warriors season, but of the NBA season has been Klay Thompson adjusting to his new role on a team that he helped build into a dynasty. Klay and the Warriors are with him coming off the bench and has had games of 35, 26 and 25 in three of those games.

Last game the Knicks were without both Jaylen Brown and Julius Randle who has been out of an extended period of time with a shoulder injury. That showed just how fragile and thin this team is. The Knicks made some mid season trades trying to improve the squad for a playoff push, and a deep run into the postseason but while the new faces are still get incorporated and that showed against the Pelicans last game.

If they can figure out a way to fit in as soon as possible that will only help the Knicks bust out of this slump in one of the most important moments of the season. New York lost their 7th game in 10 last time out as they hosted Zion Williamson and the Pelicans.

Trey Murphy led the way with 26 as the lead stretched to as many as 23, finishing the game with a 41 point quarter to seal the win. The Wizards took an early lead after Steph Curry was shut down for the first two quarters of the game, but Klay Thompson put on his cape and led the Warriors to victory off the bench.
