Coach Johnson said Hughey may play tomorrow. Thought he was going to play tonight but decided to hold him out. I thought the effort was good tonight but Liberty exposed some weaknesses we have especially without Hughey and Williams in the lineup. Our defense was not very good as Liberty wore us out on the dribble drive and kickout. They hit everything they shot in the second half partly because they were getting easy shots.
The other part was blind luck. On offense we didn't shoot the ball well except for Foster and Pegues and they can't do it all. PJ's shots weren't going in but give the guy a break, it's only his third game. I think he will be fine after he gets a few more games behind him. These early season tournament games are important to learn from to get better. Remember we lost several early last year.
Liberty committed eight turnovers while forcing 12 Furman miscues. The Flames held an edge in points off turnovers and advantage in points in the paint.
